Introduction

Global Relationship Centers’ Headquarters is located in Texas, USA. Our company designs and produces courses and workshops focusing on the development of the human potential.  Our unique and fresh approach provides participants with the experience of going beyond their previously perceived potential. Certified Instructors teach and facilitate at regional Global Relationship Centers in the USA and Russia, in tailor-made courses in corporations, government institutions, hospitals, and schools worldwide.

Global Relationship Centers, Inc. was founded in 1975 by Bill Riedler and has grown with a specific goal in mind: To provide individuals with profound learning experiences that will enhance their ability to create greater effectiveness in all types of relationships. To accomplish this we are empowering people to revise their intentions and develop the level of commitment necessary for them to base their decisions on an attitude of cooperation rather than separateness or force. Global’s training is based on Alfred Alder’s model of individual psychology.

All courses are customized to meet the needs of the participants and organizations. This customization is based on the personal goals of the participants and/or the goals of the organization. Research has shown that experience provides deeper learning. Therefore our courses and workshops provide a combination of plenary sessions and experiential exercises.

Participants are encouraged and inspired to learn more about themselves and the impact they have on others and to challenge their personal limitations and beliefs. The Instructors will make sure that their students are prepared to take on higher levels of responsibilities and to see more possibilities. The participants are in charge of the depth of their learning experience. At the end of every learning experience the participants will feel inspired to implement their new skills in their professional and personal life.

Some workshop topics are:

  • Creating Team
  • Achieving Goals through Cooperation
  • Encouragement of Self and Others
  • Holding Others Accountable
  • Self-Reliance Skills
  • Increasing Your Ability to Influence
  • Freedom from Blame
  • Turning Criticism into Power

3-day in-depth Courses

Understanding Yourself and Others (UYO™)

10-24 students per course

In the UYO™ course the participants learn to identify and overcome self-limiting beliefs, which prevent them from freely expressing themselves. It increases self-confidence, self-motivation and the ability to influence others. The participants will be ready to take on higher responsibilities and to use all of their talents to create the future they want. In preparation for the course, the students are asked to fill out a course information sheet that will provide the instructors with the necessary information to help the participants accomplish their goals for both work and private life. Also prior to the course the participants will be encouraged to read the book, “Understanding Yourself and Others”, which gives them background information that helps them to get the most out of the course.

Leading Yourself and Others (LYO™)

10-100 students per course

LYO™ focuses on improving management skills and the ability to support leadership. Participants learn to hold themselves and others accountable, to reduce stress and be more productive. They learn how to stop aggravating people and become better at encouraging others and themselves. The course shines a light on making mistakes and the belief most people have on the need to hide mistakes. The participants get practical tools on how to let go of the shortcomings of others. All of this allows them to be free from the need to pressure others, resulting in increased creativity and peace of mind.
To prepare for this course the participants are encouraged to listen to a 4 CD-series, titled “Tones”.

Understanding Successful Attitudes (USA™)

10-42 Students per course

This course builds teamwork skills. It brings to the surface how the members of a team interact with each other, what hidden agendas are and how group confidence is influenced by individual attitudes. It teaches the participants to cooperate instead of compete, to be confident about their own contribution, to support leadership and take on leadership when needed. The participants will be part of a real team and work on a real live team project to maximize impact and learning.

To prepare for this course the participants will complete a Course Information Sheet.

Preparation and Follow Up

One or two weeks before the start of workshop or course the participants have a pre-course call with one of the instructors. Purpose for this call is to introduce the workshop to the participant, to answer any questions, and to set an intention for the course.

One week after each course/workshop a team post course check-in is planned to solidify the course experience and to help the participants apply their new skills to their daily work and private life. The graduates will also benefit from assisting in future courses or workshops for other groups within the company or in one of the regional Global Relationship Centers. Assisting helps the students to deepen their experience and learning.

Individual Coaching

A good follow up is essential and a very important aspect of any Global Relationship Centers program. Once participants are on the path of personal development and self-reliance they need encouragement, motivation and coaching to apply their new skills to their work and private life. After each course or workshop, an Individual Coaching Session once a month for at least 3 months is recommended. Our certified coaches do the sessions by telephone.  The sessions are private and one hour in length. In these sessions the participants will get even more tools to enhance their people skills and work through certain issues. In between the sessions the participant will get “mental homework” and they will be encouraged to read books that support their learning.

Reading/Study Material

To support and further enhance the teachings of the courses, workshops and coaching sessions we offer a wide range of books and audio CD’s.

Instructor/Coach Training

GRC offers an Instructor Training Program for each of the courses. This is an intensive, high commitment program that results in becoming a certified instructor. In addition to this we offer a training to become a Certified Coach.
Companies can choose to have employees become an in-company trainer or coach.

Executive Training

Tailor-made retreats for leadership teams that focus on specific needs of the team, such as further development of:

  • Goal setting
  • Power of intention
  • Authentic power versus control
  • Holding responsibility
  • Keeping energy high
  • Reflection and meditation
  • Seeing possibilities
  • Image

Partner and Family Support

Once employees have started our personal development program they will bring their experience “home”. This has almost always had a very positive impact on their private life and we often receive requests to do the same training for partners and other family members. Our regional centers offer these and many other courses to the general public. As part of the extra benefits to their employees, companies can decide to offer the courses too.

Other courses that we offer are:

  • Redirecting Children’s Behavior™
  • Refreshing Relationships Retreat™
  • Money Freedom™
  • Singles Adventure™
  • Advanced People Skills™

Faculty

Two certified Global Instructors (one male and one female) teach each course or workshop.

Our instructors are experts in the field of human behavior and are dedicated to improving the effectiveness of how people live and work together. Our instructors have at least 10 years experience in leadership roles and working with professional organizations.

Practical Aspects

  • Training hours
Workshop hours can be customized according to your needs.
The 3-day courses start on the first day at 10 am and finish around 8 PM (dinnertime), day two starts at 9 AM and continues until complete. Day three starts at 9 am and finishes around 6 PM. There will be ample time for meals and breaks.
  • Course location
The courses are intense; a lot is expected from the students.  Therefore the course location should be comfortable and private, for example somewhere in the countryside. During meals and breaks the learning continues through sharing and discussions. It is therefore convenient if the students can stay for the night and do not have to go home.
  • Dress code
In order to feel at ease and open to learning we advise to wear comfortable clothes and shoes.

How do we work?

Our first step in the creation of a development program is to listen to what the specific needs, wishes and circumstances of the organization are. To get an even clearer picture we can do an embedded survey (attend team meetings and do one on one interviews). After that we create a proposal and discuss this with the organization. Next the discussed proposal will be adjusted and the planning will be finalized. After each part of the training we do an extensive evaluation to see where the team is at and to determine the next step.
